Tim and Barbara Downs

Missionaries to Côte d’Ivoire

Tim & Barbara Downs have lived and worked in Africa since 1986. They both grew up in Kansas in a suburb of Kansas City. Since their arrival in Africa there have been 37 churches planted, 3 Ministry Training Centers developed, a publishing house, and a Manna feeding center.

In 2002 a civil conflict began in Côte d’Ivoire and hundreds of thousands of people were displaced.  Many lost their lives.  The need to help the children effected by this war was clear.  The Bethesda Home began with this need in mind.  The Home is associated with one of our churches in Toumodi, Côte d’Ivoire.
